Backstage view is a common feature of Office 2010 products. It is a place to gather all the account settings, odd options like importing and exporting data, and all the other options that needed a home. Beyond that, the Backstage view is programmable, meaning that third party developers will be able to add their own stuff to the view.
The idea behind the Backstage view seems to be that pulling all this stuff together will make it all easier to find, and save you time and energy when if you ever have to mess with any of this stuff.
Beyond that, there isn’t much to say. The view itself is pretty self-explanatory. To reach the Backstage view, click the File tab on the Outlook Ribbon. Once there, navigate between the different Backstage sections with the tabs on the left side of the window.
Go to the Living With Outlook 2010 home page.
